Heavy snowfalls close Ben Lomond Road


The Parks and Wildlife Service has advised that heavy snowfalls and downed tree branches have resulted in the closure of the Ben Lomond Road.

PWS Northern Region manager Chris Colley said snowfalls of at least 40 centimetres have been experienced at Ben Lomond.

“We are working to re-open the road as soon as possible, however given the current weather and road conditions, we expect this to be Friday,” Mr Colley said.
