Hastings thermal pool temporary closure

07/03/2011

The Parks and Wildlife Service has advised that the Hastings thermal pool at the Hastings State Reserve will be closed for about three weeks for annual maintenance works.

Parks and Reserves manager for the Huon Valley- South Coast, Peter Stafford, said the pool will close from 15 March to allow for maintenance works to the pool and change-room. Cave tours are not affected and will continue to be available.

The works include painting of the pool surface and painting of the change-room floor.

“During this time other works will be undertaken that will necessitate the closure of the visitor centre for up to five days. However, ticket sales for cave tours will be available at another location on site,” Mr Stafford said.

“We regret any inconvenience caused by these works, however it’s important to ensure that these facilities are maintained to a high standard.”
