PWS "Accredited Licensed Operator" Partnership

The Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS) is improving its links with the tourism industry while actively encouraging sustainable use and economic opportunities within Tasmanian's parks and reserves.

Partnerships with the Tourism Industry Council Tasmania is encouraging new business and innovative ideas for Tasmanian parks and reserves.

The PWS recognises and values the role of commercial operators in promoting and encouraging visitors to enjoy and appreciate Tasmania's parks and reserves.  We are committed to working co-operativley with the TICT to provide quality visitor experiences that reflect positively on Tasmania's tourism industry while also conserving the values that attract people to the experience in the first place.

PWS Tourism Services staff are now working closely with the TICT's Australian Tourism Accreditation Program which is designed to raise professionalism of the industry through implementation of business management practices and standards.

As part of the partnership, businesses accredited with the TICT will be able to use a new logo which incorporates the PWS logo with the tag line "PWS Accredited licensed operator" in marketing collateral and website promotion.
