A.  minor

Macquarie Island has two species of Acaena (buzzies). Both are creeping herbs with distinctive spherical flowerheads. Acaena magellanica has dark green or bluish-green leaves comprised of several leaflets, each with a short stalk. Acaena minor generally has smaller leaves and flowerheads, pale green leaves and leaflets attached directly to the midrib.
