Azorella macquariensis
Apiaceae

Azorella macquariensis is a widespread and common plant at higher elevations on Macquarie Island. It is the dominant species in feldmark vegetation. It grows as a tight cushion with numerous branch tips supporting tiny leaves crowded together. Some plants have distinctly white hairy leaves. Small flowers are produced on the surface of the cushion in summer (Dec to Feb).
