Bay of Fires Conservation Area

Northern Section

The northern section of The Bay of Fires is within the Mt William National Park. It extends from the northern shore of the Ansons Bay outlet to Eddystone Point.

Access

This section can be accessed from the Eddystone Road, just before the Lighthouse. Foot access only to Abbotsbury Beach is a 15 minute walk over the sand dunes to the beach. Please note that dogs are prohibited, as you are within a national park.

Camping

There are no facilities on this section of the Bay of Fires. The area is day use only. Carry drinking water with you.

However, just north of Eddystone Point, you will find camping and facilities at Deep Creek. The campground is accesses via the turn-off on the left before the Eddystone Lighthouse.

Facilities here include bore water, untreated tank water and pit toilets. See Camping and Cabin Fees for further information and costs. Park Entry Fees apply for this northern section of the Bay of Fires. Dogs are prohibited at the Deep Creek Campground.

Picnic facilities and a pit toilet are available at at Picnic Rocks, and there is also a toilet, boat launching and picnic facilities at Eddystone Lighthouse Carpark.

There are no shops or other facilities in this area.
