Visitors Guide to Tasmania's National Parks - Maria Island
Introduction
Please Note: Maria Island is currently experiencing extremely dry conditions. Visitors are requested to bring their own drinking water. The Darlington showers have been closed until further notice.
Restricted access to Maria Island: Intending visitors to Maria Island are advised that public access to Maria Island National Park will be restricted temporarily for a period of two weeks for a wildlife management program.
Access to the island will be restricted from Monday, 30 June 2008 to Friday, 11 July, 2008. The ferry service will resume on Sunday, 20 July.
