5. Arthur–Pieman Conservation Area

Parks for all People - Access for the mobility impaired in Tasmania's national parks and reserves

From Smithton, take the A2 west to Marrawah, and then follow the C214 south to Arthur River.

The Arthur–Pieman Conservation Area covers over 10 000 hectares along the rugged northwest coast of Tasmania. Within the reserve, the Arthur River area has a good range of facilities to choose from. The Peppermint and Manuka Campgrounds have accessible toilet facilities. The campgrounds themselves are accessible, although assistance may be required with the grassy areas. 

Gardiner Point day use area and viewing platform is also accessible and includes a BBQ area and toilet facilities. 4WD access in the reserve provides many sightseeing opportunities.
