PWS volunteers have the opportunity
to enjoy a wide range of projects

The Parks and Wildlife Service appreciates the assistance provided by hundreds of volunteers and a large number of volunteer organisations all around Tasmania. With almost 40% of the State protected and cared for in Reserves we can't do everything that is needed on our own. Our volunteers and their organisations contribute time valued in excess of $2,000,000 each year to reserve management projects. Recently community volunteer organisations received in excess of $650,000 from the Australian government's Caring for Country Coastcare grants for projects on reserved land. These projects will be completed in partnership with the Parks and Wildlife Service. In addition to the effort, hours and funding that volunteers contribute, we enjoy working cooperatively with the Tasmanian community and others. We invite you to consider becoming a volunteer with us. There is a variety of ways that you can be involved.
