Visitors to Cockle Creek in Tasmania's Far South are advised that the Cockle Creek bridge will be closed from approximately 14 July to the end of August 2014, while the old bridge is removed and a replacement bridge is constructed.More

time 4.5 – 6 hours return (5km one way)
access Road C167 from Deloraine to Meander, then follow signs to Meander Forest Reserve. See map
Please note: Heavy rains and flooding have washed away two bridges on the Meander Falls Road. A temporary alternative route has been opened but this is a four wheel drive only track and is likely to be closed in wet weather. For the latest updates, see www.forestrytas.com.au/visiting/road-closures.
