Moulting Lagoon Bird Count

Tuesday 14th July 7:45am-2pm (approx), Freycinet National Park

Calling all bird lovers! Do you know your Ardea alba from your Egretta garzetta? Can you spry a whimbrel or pick a coot? Join Parks and Wildlife rangers and Primary Industries officers in this vital research into birds at the RAMSAR listed Moulting Lagoon (part of Freycinet National Park).

You will need to wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, and bring food and drink for your lunch. If you have binoculars please bring these also, as limited sets are available.

Registration for this event is required - registrations close Friday 26th June.

Friends of Trevallyn Reserve working bee

 

Saturday 11th July 10am-12noon

Bored with Saturdays? Why not come along to a Friends of Trevallyn Reserve working bee! Make new friends and help the environment at the same time.
The group meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month, to undertake weeding work in the Trevallyn Nature Reserve (Launceston area).
Don't forget to bring along your gardening gloves, sun hat, lunch and a sense of fun! All ages welcome.

Calvert's Hill Nature Reserve -  Working Bee with the Tasmanian Land and Water Professionals

Help chip out some of the dreaded serrated tussock grass from this important Nature Reserve near Cremorne. Meet at the intersection of Forest Hill Road and the South Arm Highway at 10am.

Volunteering Joseph Lyons Cottage Stanley

An invitation is extended to join the dedicated team of volunteers that man this valuable heritage site situated in Stanley on Tasmania's North West Coast. Birth place of Tasmania's only primeminister. The site has a steady stream of visitors including toursist from afar and Tasmanain school groups.
