Douglas-Apsley National Park closed due to fire

Freycinet National Park walking tracks and four-wheel drive tracks have re-opened today, Friday, 8 February 2013, but the Douglas-Apsley National Park is closed until further notice.


Due to a fire currently burning near the Douglas-Apsley National Park, access to the northern part of the national park, Thompsons Marshes, is closed until further notice.


The entire Leeaberra Walking Track, including the Heritage Falls Track and Apsley Gorge Circuit are also closed for public safety. The short walking track from the Rosedale Road car park to the Apsley Waterhole remains open for public access.
