Two examples of nationally threatened species that are not listed in the State Act:

  • Eastern quoll (Dasyurus viverrinus)

    Listed as vulnerable under the Federal Act. The Eastern Quoll is now extinct on mainland Australia and is now confined to Tasmania:

  • Eastern barred bandicoot (Perameles gunnii)

    The Eastern barred bandicoot is an example of nationally threatened species that are not listed in the State Act:
