Summary

State and local Council approval for a proposed Cradle Valley Centralised Sewerage Scheme (CVCSS) was granted in mid 2007. The Scheme involves a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) plant, treated effluent storage, a shared trench for raw and treated effluent pipelines, two pump stations, a header tank and a discharge of Class A treated effluent to Pencil Pine Creek.

The development is also established in a manner such that the treated effluent can be used for non potable purposes by existing and future developments in the valley. This Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) has been developed using information in the DPEMP prepared for the Scheme.
