The Coal Mines Historic Site, situated on the Tasman Peninsula, was Tasmania's first operational mine. For visitors to Tasmania's beautiful Tasman Peninsula, the Coal Mines Historic Site offers the chance to discover among the uncrowded ruins a different perspective on Tasmania's convict history.
